Services
I offer lessons in the Alexander Technique. I'm located in South Pasadena, Los Angeles, California.
Lessons in the Alexander Technique:
$80.00 for a one-hour lesson
$700.00 for a series of ten lessons
$180.00 for an introductory series of three lessons (new students only)
I'm also available for small group teaching (2 to 4 participants) at an adjustable rate. Please contact me for more details.
If you prefer not to purchase lessons online, I accept cash or check at the time of the lesson.
Fee Structure and Policy
- My basic rate for a one-hour private lesson is $80.00.
- Ten individual lessons are $700.00.
- Thirty individual lessons are $2,000.00, if lessons are taken once per week.
- A series of 30 lessons is discounted further if lessons are taken more frequently than once per week.
- Two to three students can work together at the rate of $45.00 per person per lesson.
Lessons discounted because of greater frequency must be taken in the requisite time frames. For example, ten lessons purchased for $700.00 must be taken in a time period of no more than 10 weeks. Any lessons not taken in that period will be forfeited. If for any reason you wish to cancel your lessons and have paid in advance for a discounted lesson package, I will refund the remainder in the following manner: You will be charged my basic rate of $80.00 per lesson for those taken. For example, if you purchased ten lessons for $700.00 and decide to terminate your lessons after taking four lessons, I will charge you $80.00 per lesson for the four lessons you have taken (or $320.00 total), and will refund you the remaining $380.00.
Punctuality and Cancellations
To insure the best results for your Alexander Technique learning experience, it is important that we are able to have a full hour to work together at each lesson. Therefore, I encourage you to arrive for your lesson on time. I can only offer you the time within your scheduled one-hour slot. If you arrive late, that portion of your lesson is forfeited. As a courtesy, please call me if you think you are going to be more than five minutes late. If you must cancel, please give me at least 24 hours notice. If I am given less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the missed lesson. Exceptions to this policy will be made only in dire situations— such as sudden illness, personal emergency or inclement weather—and are subject to my approval. Once again, thank you. I look forward to serving you.
